Cowrite style, lyrics, & harmony — paste-ready for Suno Advance Mode, with Style briefs tuned for how Suno hears them.
How Quick Style works
Choose a path first. Paths are either/or — picking one clears the others. Quick Style is style-only (Style / Exclude / Key). It does not rewrite Lyrics or invent Title / Description.
-
You Build It
- Tap required Genre chips (chips only — no free-text genre box). Optional Subgenre stays empty until you pick a parent (“Pick a genre above and subgenre chips will show up here.”).
- Optional Mood / vibe (22 chips including Melancholy, Nostalgic, Dreamy, Romantic, Bittersweet, Cinematic, Angry, Anxious, Playful, Sensual, Lonely, Ethereal; short mood text OK).
- Optional Vocals: Lead (Female Lead / Male Lead / Duet / No vocals / Instrumental) → Identity registers; Duet shows both Female + Male Identity → Character / Performance / Arrangement multi-select with clash gray-outs. No Vocal Override.
- Optional Instruments (chips after genre, or type your own).
- Hit Generate for paste-ready Style, Exclude, and Key & progression. Refine / Regenerate / share as below.
-
Artist/Song Inspiration
- Name the artist and/or song only. Mood, Vocals, Instruments, and Subgenre stay hidden.
- Style is filled inspired by them without naming them in the Style text.
- Hit Generate, then refine / share as below.
-
From your lyrics
- Paste your lyrics first, then required Genre (+ optional Subgenre). No Mood / Vocals / Instruments chips — Pauly infers from the story + Genre.
- Optional: Add section instrument tags — when checked, also return a copy of your lyrics with short instrument cues under each [Verse]/[Chorus].
- On Generate, the same section-assign gate as Improve runs (every unlabeled chunk needs a Suno tag).
- Then a short Do I have this right? check (vibe / energy / arrangement) — Looks good (or light tweaks / Not quite) before Style / Exclude / Key.
- This path does not rewrite your lyrics.
Shared after Generate on every Quick Style path:
- Review Key & progression; turn on Also weave into Style Prompt and pick Recommended or a Variant.
- Per-section Refine / Regenerate, or Regenerate all. Get another clears results for a new pack.
- Download Markdown and Export PDF keep a local copy.
- Optional Copy share link → anonymous pack at lyriff.com/p/<id> (60 days; save the delete link). Style-only share for now.
- Need lyrics? Switch to Cowriter or Lyric Improve.
How Cowriter works
Open the Cowriter tab and choose a path. Lyriff remembers your last choice.
-
Quick Write
- Enter an idea + genre (parent chips + optional subgenres; chips append to the genre field — custom genre text OK) + required Lyrical style (optional working title).
- Write it with Pauly → full song pack plus a short Why this song list.
- Use Refine…, Regenerate, or Undo. Start over at the bottom resets the Quick Write form (not an Advanced board).
- Want a deeper cowrite? Try Advanced Cowrite.
-
Advanced Cowrite
- Walk Idea → optional Working title → Genre → Premise → Themes (selectable in chat) with Pauly on the board → Ready for lyrics → draft lyrics in chat.
- Ask for Before/After suggestions; use Apply / Reject / Another on After cards (Full draft can Apply to draft for all). Fresh draft from board rebuilds from themes.
- On section-by-section drafts with more than one chorus: after you accept the first chorus, later choruses show a Locked chorus with Reuse by default, or Vary / Tweak.
- Lock it in for Style + Exclude + Key + Title + Description. Optional Add section instrument tags (default on) for short cues under each [Verse]/[Chorus].
- After Lock it in: Regenerate / Refine / Regenerate all / Export PDF. Keep editing with Pauly returns to the draft. Start over resets the board.
- Just want a fast pack? Use Quick Write.
How Lyric Improve works
Open the Lyric Improve tab and choose a path. Lyriff remembers your last choice. After you pick a path, paste your lyrics and set a required Genre (parent chips + optional subgenres; chips append — custom text OK). Optional Lyrical style chips steer rewrites when you want a different feel.
-
Quick Improve
- Improve my lyrics → Do I have this right? (Keep / Change / Goal lyric brief — tweak or Not quite) → Looks good — continue.
- Result order: Improved Lyrics → Refine Lyrics → What changed → Style (when enabled).
- Or Regenerate / one-turn Refine after results. Export PDF works here. Want a deeper pass? Try Advanced Improve.
-
Advanced Improve
- Optional song title → Continue → Do I have this right? (Keep / Change / Goal) → Looks good.
- Pauly’s first feedback includes Detailed Lyrics Feedback (Strengths / Opportunities / Genre Fit). Opportunities steer section After cards.
- Start Section Improve walks the song section-by-section: Apply / Reject / Another / My Own on line cards (locked cards offer Undo Apply / Undo Reject / Undo My Own), Get more, Draft / Skip / Lock.
- Later choruses: Locked chorus panel with Reuse by default, or Vary / Tweak.
- Assemble → Lock it in for Style/Key/Title per checkboxes. Optional section instrument tags on the draft / Improved Lyrics card.
- Navigation: Feedback → Synopsis, Draft → Feedback, Results → Keep editing with Pauly. Export PDF on both Improve paths. Just want a fast pass? Use Quick Improve.
How Audio Lab works
The Audio Lab denoises and masters a finished song in your browser, and on a computer its Mix & Master Stems tab mixes and masters up to 12 stems. Nothing is uploaded: the processing runs on your own device.
- Choose a song — WAV works best; FLAC, MP3 and M4A also work (up to 10 minutes). Pauly scans it first (loudness, punch and dynamics, stereo width, harshness and brightness, hiss, clipping) and gives his take: a sound to try, a few short tips, how much hiss he hears (noticeable, light or almost none), and whether he hears clipping (noticeable, light or none).
- Pick a path — Denoise & Master (the default) masters the song, with Clean up hiss first on unless you turn it off. Repair clipping sits next to it on both paths: it turns on by itself when Pauly hears clipped peaks (the tops of the loudest hits cut flat), rebuilds those peaks before cleanup and mastering, and turns the song down just enough that the rebuilt peaks fit. Songs with no clipping are left exactly as they are. If a song is clipped too heavily to repair in reasonable time on your device (phones have a lower limit), Pauly says so and leaves it as it is. Repair Only cleans up hiss and/or repairs clipping with no mastering: tick Clean up hiss, Repair clipping or both (Pauly pre-ticks what the song needs), flip Original / Repaired (plus Removed hiss when hiss cleanup ran), then download the repaired song (or the removed noise).
- Pick a loudness — Streaming (−14 LUFS) is recommended; Quieter (−16) keeps more dynamics; Loud (−9) is louder but squeezed.
- Pick a sound — Pauly listens first and suggests one. Nine styles: Balanced (clean, even polish), Cinema (depth, warm lows, airy top), Clarify (clearer top, fuller lows), Club (deep, steady low end for dance and hip-hop; bass stays centred), Kick (harder-hitting drums), Organic (warm, smooth and full), Smooth (tames harsh highs and sharp S sounds), Surround (wider, roomier sound; bass stays centred and it still plays fine in mono) and Vocal Forward (lead vocal up front and clearer). Each style has its own strength (pick None for loudness only). Tap Why? to see what Pauly measured.
- Set the strength — Off, Subtle (10%), Light (30%), Medium (50%), Strong (70%) or Full (100%). Each sound starts at its tested default, marked with a small tick under the slider (Kick’s default is its own Strong+ 75% stop).
- Master my song, compare Original and Mastered at the same loudness, then download a 24-bit WAV (best for distribution) or an MP3 at 320 kbps (for sharing; it’s made on your device when you tap it, with peaks kept under about −1 dB). The repaired song from Repair Only comes as WAV or MP3 too. With hiss cleanup on, Removed hiss plays just what the cleanup took out, turned up 12 dB so you can hear it (the download stays at its true level).
Mix & Master Stems (on a computer)
Mix & Master Stems is the third tab in Audio Lab. Load the separate parts of a song (vocals, drums, bass and so on), balance them, then master the mix and download it, all on the same screen. It works on a computer only; on a phone or small screen the tab shows a short note instead. Like the rest of Audio Lab, nothing is uploaded.
- Load your stems — drop up to 12 WAV or MP3 stems (or a .zip of them) onto the box, or click it to choose. Each stem can be up to 10 minutes long. Use Add more stems to add more later, and Remove all to start over.
- Read the line-up check — Audio Lab checks that the stems fit together and tells you what it did: stems at a different sample rate are converted so everything plays in sync, stems that end early get silence added at the end (nothing at the start is moved), silent stems are flagged (remove them with ×), stems with clipped peaks in the file itself are flagged (turning the fader down won’t undo that), and MP3 stems that may sit a hair behind the beat are pointed out. “Ready to mix” means nothing needed fixing.
- Name and icon — each stem gets a name and an instrument icon from its file name. Click a name to rename it (Enter saves, Escape cancels, an empty name goes back to the original), or click the icon to pick a different one. Guitars get Acoustic Guitar or Electric Guitar when the file name says which, and a plain Guitar icon when it doesn’t. Names and icons only change what you see here: they aren’t saved when you reload, and the download file names stay the same.
- Starting mix — pick a genre (Pop, Rock, Indie / Alternative, Hip-Hop, R&B, Funk / Soul, Country, EDM, Acoustic / Folk, Metal, Punk, Jazz, Reggae or Latin) to set each stem’s volume and pan as a starting point, based on its icon. It follows simple genre rules and doesn’t measure your audio. It only moves the volume and pan sliders (nothing else changes) and never makes a stem louder than 0 dB. If some stems still show the plain music-note icon, Confirm your tracks asks what each one is first; choose Other to leave a stem as it is. Undo puts the sliders back where they were before the last genre, and you can change anything afterwards.
- Set the mix — each row has a volume fader, a pan slider, M (mute) and S (solo; only soloed stems play). Double-click a slider to reset it; on a slider, the arrow keys nudge it, Page Up/Down jump, and Home turns it off. Reset mix puts every stem back to 0 dB and centre. Click a waveform to jump to that spot, and tick Loop to keep playing round. The meter shows the mix’s peak and loudness and warns if it goes over 0 dB.
- Master the mix — click Master the mix (next to Play, or in the Mastering section). Pick a loudness (Streaming −14 LUFS, Quieter −16 or Loud −9), a style and its strength, exactly like Denoise & Master; Clean up hiss first is off for stems because separate parts are usually clean. Audio Lab masters the whole song in the background. With many long stems the first master can take about 30–40 seconds; the progress bar under the style picker (and in the play bar) shows how far along it is.
- Listen and adjust — when the first master is ready, the player switches to Mastered by itself. Use Listen to: Mix | Mastered to flip between the plain mix and the master; with Same loudness ticked, the louder one is turned down so you hear the difference in sound, not just volume. Change a fader, pan, mute or any mastering setting and the master updates after you stop; the last master keeps playing until the new one is ready, or click Update master to start it right away.
- Solo while mastering — solo is just for listening. While a stem is soloed, the player plays the unmastered stems you soloed (even on Mastered), and the master isn’t remade; clear every solo and you’re back on the master. The master and its downloads always use the full mix (with your mutes), never the solo.
- Download — Download the master gives you the mastered mix as a 24-bit WAV or an MP3 at 320 kbps, using the same mastering as the Denoise & Master tab. It uses the full mix with your volume, pan and mute settings (solo is left out). The plain, unmastered mix isn’t offered as a download. Type a Song title to name the files.
In-app help (?)
Each mode button (Quick Style, Cowriter, Lyric Improve, Audio Lab) has a small ? on its top-right corner. Tap it to open a floating panel with condensed instructions for that mode, without switching to it. Press Esc, click outside, or use the close control to dismiss. A link inside the panel opens this full Help page.

Suno style prompt guide
For Style, Exclude, Key, and lyrics structure that Advance Mode hears cleanly, read the Suno style prompt guide.
Tips
- Style is a compact Style producer brief (≤1000 chars) — direct the band and mix with verbs and section movement, not a genre-tag cloud.
- Exclude is short categories only (≤1000 chars); never put “don’t…” lines in Style.
- Weave into Style is a soft bias for Suno — a short feel line, not exact chords.
- Export PDF is local-only in your browser; nothing is uploaded or stored by Lyriff.
Privacy
By default we don’t save generations or keep a browseable history of what you create. Optional Quick Style Copy share link packs are the exception — anonymous, and kept for up to 60 days. Audio Lab songs never leave your device. See the full notice: Privacy.
